Feature Pack 2 and newer devices!
Future S60 devices may offer users more than two storage locations.
In addition to the device memory and a memory card, devices may include a second memory card slot or internal mass storage.
The Multiple Drive Support (MDS) Plug-in provides the APIs necessary to access these multiple user-visible drives.
Nokia N96 with the build in 16GB mass storage flash memory module and equipped with the MicroSD card slot will be the first S60 phone with one more drive!!?
I hope it means that soon be we’ll able to make partitions on the memory drives!? That will be pretty handy addition in my personal opinion.
In a matter of fact all S60 devices beside the very first one (Nokia 7650) have offered multiple drives, but these have been a phone memory drive and a memory card or hard disk drive or flash memory with fixed drive letters.

Beside support for more than two storage drives its also interesting that letters may not be in their current order, which presumably means that the phone memory is no longer guaranteed to be on the C drive!??!
